Kia's first European-built plug-in hybrid powertrain combines an 8.9 kWh battery, a 44.5 kW electric motor and a 1.6 l GDI engine with six-speed double-clutch transmission. The output is impressive: 141 ps for 0-100 kmph acceleration in 11 seconds. And you can complete most daily drives on electric power alone.

Meet the modern hybrid

Regenerative braking harvests kinetic energy that recharges your battery pack while coasting or braking. The Coasting Guide analyses your route to let you know when to take your foot off the pedal. The Virtual Engine Sound System activates in electric-only mode to safely notify pedestrians of your presence.

Select your best drive

The EV/HEV button lets you prioritize between pure electric drive or hybrid, in which case both the battery and the petrol engine are used to drive the vehicle. The sport button gives you a more responsive powertrain performance.

Charging status: easy

Enjoy the convenience of easy charging from a household socket or at a public charging station. At a charging station, you can recharge the battery (up to 100%) in approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. Easily visible from outside the vehicle, 3 LED lights in the middle of the dashboard tell you the charging status and battery level.
